In this picture it looks like there are about 20+ ticks on this small bucks ear. Do you think that this might hurt him or make his sick?

Nasty, you think he would rub them off or something, it never does seem to bother them much for the most part considering the hundreds of ticks they get on them, I would think they could get different diseases from them such as lymes or diseases similar to these but mostly not fatal.

Could lead totype of infection if that is all ticks.

I certainly wouldn't worry about the ticks, 'round here our deer always wear dozens of them. I've hung deer overnight before and in the morning had hundreds of ticks climbing their way up!
