NHhunter,

are there any modification needed to hook up a larger battery like yours? I am trying to catch a blackbear on camera and the cold nights kill the 6 volt batteries overnight! Would a motorcycle battery work ok? Can I just hook the up the wires directly to the battery?

Most cycle batteries are 12volt don't use them unless you want to fry your cam.you can buy 6 volt tractor batteries from most auto parts stores but the weight makes them a pia to lug around.
