Like I said. I always respond to a post in my direction. Talk at me, or about me. You'll get a response.

That's what cranky old farts do.

yeah i think you strayed off course in this particular thread although twist rates are interesting and we should spend some time in the future talking about this subject again after i do some looking into the subject. i'm excited on my builds and i have picked out some light scroll work that will be done on the pistol. the barrel is made the wood which is a curly maple grade 5-6 is on the way and all the parts from tow shipped last week so we are soon to start on the build. ron will completely build the stock from a blank from scratch and i'm more than confident it will be one heck of a pistol when finished ! i'll keep you all posted.

muzzlestuffer,

Forgive those of us who have lead this thread astray. I think we are all getting a touch of cabin fever these days. I personally am waiting to see pics of this work of art when you receive it and I think it's awesome that Mike Nesbitt is gonna do a write up on it.

In a sense, that in itself kind of immortalizes your pistol...

yeah it will be interesting to see how this venture will be received but i can personally say having my guns built from such a skilled gunmaker is good enough for me it's just icing on the cake when you add all the other stuff on top ! don't forget i am going to have a full stock hawken rifle built and i think i might do a matching hawken pistol with it will see hoe much time ron has ? yeah it's like a little kid in a candy store i can't wait to shoot that thing !

Bradford County, about 2hrs east of there. My ex wife's Dad had a camp in McKean outside of Smethport and not far from the Clarion Reservoir. Used to do some trout fishing out that way but never got out there to hunt. Always saw a ton of deer whenever we went there.
It's beautiful country with a lot of large tracts of State Forest land.
