There are several ways to quieten a recurve. Do a search & you'll get lots of info.

I'd start with nothing on the string except a nockset. Having someone stand behind you or off to the side to listen will help. Tinker with your brace height until the bow is the quietest and has the least shock. Put the silencers on--I'd start at the 1/3 points. You may need to tinker with those also--moving them up or down the string an inch or so can help a lot. If you are noticing a lot of "slap" (vs. a "twang"), you might wrap the end of your string with yarn or use "Bowhush" to help quieten that. Arrows that aren't matched properly to the bow will usually be noisier, and heavier arrows are quieter. In my experience, tiny strings are noisier than moderate sized ones.

Good luck,

Chad
