Default Cleaning a bow

I just got a couple of old bows, a Red Wing Hunter and a Stemmel Mogul still in the orginial box, and the fiberglass looks dull on the Wing. Whats the best way to clean the limbs?

aomething non-solvent and non-abrasive. Murphy's Oil Soap or something similar should do the trick. I wouldn't tackle it with Comet or bleach.

I've had good luck with automotive rubbing compound (used with water, & rinsed off with a hose, not let dry & buff). The red is more abrasive, the white less abrasive. Followed up with a coat of car wax, this usually does a good job, & quickly too.

Thanks for the info, I'll let you know how it works.

The second bow is a "Stemmler Mogul I" not a Stemmel. I never heard of them before but found out they started making bows since early 1900's. The box for my bow has a shipping date of March, 1966. It is a nice looking bow and I can't wait to see how it shoots.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that you can use rubbing alcohol to clean the finish on Wing bows. I've got a Presentation II with white limbs that have yellowed. Haven't tried the alcohol yet because I kinda think I like the yellow patina better than snow white limbs.
