Took sight pins off and...
went to a shooting tab instead of glove. The results were amazing!!! Shots hit more consistently, release is quieter and smoother. I started at 5 yards, then 10, then 15, 20, then 25. I tried a 30 yard shot but hit about 8 inches low but still centered. I'm elated! It seems like magic. This is how I shot this bow when I first started 25 years ago and it came back in no time. I am much more confident in my shooting now than I was with pin sights. It just seems to flow when I take a shot. I draw, hit anchor and "thump!" the arrow is on its way.
Hopefully I'm going to get to go to a lease a friend of mine has this weekend. The wildlife department has issued 40 tags to cull some of the population. I'm pumped about taking my recurve there. A target rich environment and a quiver full of razor sharp zwickey tipped cedar shafts. NOW I feel like I'm truly shooting a "traditional" set up. Thanks for the advice guys.

Also, it sounds like you're shooting very quickly. Take my advise & always practice good fundamental archery form. Be sure & don't start 'snap shooting' only to eventually find out that you've lost control of the shot. It's a long dark road back from there. Some never make it.
