It took me litterly 18months to put my form together. Sure I could have done it faster if I had someone work with me. But I tried everything, from split finger, to asbell's grip, to anchor points from my jaw to my eye. Crouching, standing up straight. You name it, I tried it.

You will get it.

Mark.

You need to sit back in a Pommie pub and drink a few pints of the warm beer

I think I'm hooked, I just shot untill my fingers were numb...
First, I hit the target, then my arrows went started going into the red, then the yellow circle. Just shooting arrows not really aiming, trying to get a feel for it...
I love my longbow and that for 99 euro's, pretty cheap great new toy.
But I think that DVD will help me along as well....

Are you using a tad or a glove?

Your fingers should not get numb unless you are shooting a coupla thousand shots in a session

I know that I'm not one of the Trad Elite group like you guys but I use no-glov finger guards. I'm not hardcore like you guys but this is what I use when I pull out the old Shakespeare Sierra. Since I put these on this bow my 18 year old son now prefers shooting the recurve. Just an idea for numb fingers.

These were my first 50 arrows or so, I'm using a pair of leather gloves, I have gotten cust form the feathers on my bowhand, so I use a glove there as well.
I might be doing something wrong, I think I put the string too much on the tops fo my fingers and not in the groove.
I like that no glove gizmo you got there, looks like it works pretty good !

New compound, new long bow... now you need a babe to pay for it all!

Good on you Dave. Ya think you can kill one of those stinky elk with her?
