I'm jealous--I don't have the time or money to invest, but if I did I'd be right there with you. I hope to get back up to TN and build another one or two before the year is out. Only about a 5 hour drive, figure I could get a couple built in 3 days, if I tried hard. 'Course I'd have great advice and adult supervision while doing it--makes a huge difference--not to mention every tool I could possibly need. Maybe one of these days when I grow up and get rich I'll be able to adda selfbow shack to my shop..........

Chad
Chad, totally agree about the supervision. Even though they only gave advice every hour or two. If I didn't have supervision, it would have been a disaster. It would be teh details that kill me. When you going to post a pic of that hicstick?

You still shooting compound?
I had 4 and sold 3. contiplating selling the last one. A bowtech commander. Not sure why I still have it. Maybe its all the work over the years learning how to fiddle with them and tune them.

But I have offered to trade that for a BW longbow guy has on archery talk. I figured if he says yes, it was meant to be that I no longer shoot wheels.

Funny thing is now that I am almost weened off of wheels, the guys I hang out with, tells me its time to be weened off of fiber glass and carbon and aluminum. Soon I guess I will be running thru the woods saying oogabooga.
Mark you crack me up man!!! That was funny.[8D]

My brother came up with that one. each time I tell him what I am doing, he just shakes his head and asks, "mark, what are you looking for". I tell him, I am not sure, but I am close to finding it.

That is hilarious! My hunting buddies all shoot compounds and when they found out I had traded my Guardian for a recurve it was open season on me. I wish I had time to type all of the jokes that have been made at my expense, and as much as I hate to say it, some of them have been pretty witty!

When I switched over to the recurve my compound buddys gave me allot of ****, all in good fun. The funny thing is I've been allot more successful bow hunting with my recurve then all of them have with there wheels! The jokes on them now and I love it and they know it!!!!!!!
