Default Damon Howatt recurves, how good?

Hello friends,
I have an opportunity to purchase a used Damon Howatt recurve at a very good price (needs some TLC on the finish) and I was wondering how well made a bow are they?

Should be a good bow--check it out for the usual twists, cracks, delams, etc. Not sure how long of a draw they can handle, but should be fine for 28" or less.

I draw 28" and own an old Damon howatt High speed. It really shoots great for an old bow and I wouldn't hesitate buying another one if it was in shootable condition.
