Turkey season is coming.
Well now with a new bow on the way I am getting excited for the hunting seasons to begin. The first season for Michigan is the spring turkey hunt. I have just applied for my license now I only have to wait the drawing process. Got my fingers crossed.
Hunt hard, and praise God.

Thanks Wulff I may just have to do that. In Michigan we have two seasons also. The spring season and fall are both lottery draws with the spring being for toms only. The fall season is good for two birds of either sex. I usually get a license as I choose the late hunts that most people avoid. I have yet to be skunked, of course I am not too choosie about the birds I bag, a jake tastes just as good as a tom.

I need to apply for my spring tag in CT. Same season bag limits here. Tom in the spring, either sex (2) in the fall. Funny, I see more turkeys here in the fall than the spring! Fall has an archery or gun tag!
towerrat164 what bow did you order? Don't keep us in suspense

RE: Turkey season is coming.
As I am partial to refinishing older bows I have picked up a Damon Howatt Hunter 62" 45lbs @28in.. I had to get the wifes permission of course, she didn't even balk, just told me to get it if I really wanted it. After I committed to the purchase she ribbed me about a certain someone (me) he could not understand why a person needed more than one bow. I have bought two since I have been here in D.C. now. Oh well, I guess I have been bitten by a bug or something.

My wife asked me the same question, how can you shoot more than one bow at a time? So I've bought or traded for 5 bows in the past 6 months. It's not my fault. It's the Chad and Crusader Viruses at work Looks like you have the Viruses too!!!! Good luck and have fun. You know there is no cure and the only relief from the symptoms is to buy more bows

Thanks TR, you just reminded me that I have to apply for my turkey permit. Maybe this will be my year to draw a permit. I have applied unsuccessfully for 8 years now.
