Sealskin Rest....Nedd help
I got my sealskin rest and barge cement in, yesterday. Anyone got any photos of what it's supposed to look lke when I'm done?
Also....do I tuck it under the leather that's already there "grip leather"?

I just tore out that little leather strip they had for a strike plate / rest and then cut a piece of seal skin the length that would just extend from the edge of the arrow shelf and up the riser the appropriate height. In an eye pleasing shape of course.
Or you can do 2 separate pieces one for the shelf and then butt the facing one down against it.
No need to extend over the edge of the shelf, they only did it that way from the factory to anchor that little strip of leather.

This is the sealskin on my Widow.It's 2 pcs. nd you don't have to tuck it under the grip leather.It'd be a good idea to make a template of the rest shape you want then trace it out on the sealskin.Obviously,the hair goes in the direction of the arrow
