Default shooting for the first time nedd help

Hello guys, I finally got my muzzleloader(pursuit LT)on friday and I am getting it out to shoot it today for the first time. I am also a first time shooter so could someone take me through the basic guidlines and things I need to knowabout shootingmy muzzleloader thanks.

sorry I noticed that there is alot in the last few post that could help me out I guess I should have read down the forum before I posted.

The big thing is read your manual until you fully understand the workings of the rifle. Also make sure you have cleaned the rifle as best as possible before you start. Lube the breech plug with a good quality breech plug grease such as CVA - Slick Nipple and Breech Plug Grease.

The rest is just working up a load for your rifle. 100 grains of all powders but Triple Se7en looseis usually a good starting point for most projectiles. Then when you seat the projectile make sure you reach a witness mark. Swab between shots and again, watch that witness mark when you load.

The rest is all fun.

always remember to practice safety before anything else muzzle loaders are easier to fire and can be very dangerious if u dont keep a level head. and dont put your primer in till your done loading it and ready to fire.but other than that have fun and be safe.
