Looking into the Firebird T/D by Chek-mate. I just love the look of a recurve with rear-attached limbs. Is anyone else shooting this model?

PA I acquired a firebird not to long ago.It is a very smooth bow at my draw (28) and its fast and stable.I think if it were 60 pounds instead of 54 it would have bumped my 56" hunter out its #1 bow slot lol. Overall I don't think you can go wrong with the firebird if you don't have a longer than average draw.Probably not alot of help but thats my .02 worth.

Actually the Firebird is made to handle a little longer than average draw--up to 30". I like the Hunter II better myself-little more forgiving and quieter design. Either one will do the trick though.
Troy, what did you like better about the Firebird? I admit I don't care for short bows (don't go too well with my draw length) and can't give the best veiw on them.

Chad honestly the only thing I liked better was the grip. The firebird has a slightly smaller grip that just sets in the hand a little more natural for me.So far I have a 56 hunter a firebird and a falcon and I think they are all great bows.Right now performance wise the 56" hunter is best comfort wise the firebird is best.I have a hunter 2 coming (hopefully this week) and the 56" cujo special I just ordered from you.I don't think there is a bad choice when it comes to a checkmate recurve but with a little time I will try them all lol

I had a Firebird. 50#@28. For such a short bow I really expected a ton of stack since I draw a little over 28. But it was very smooth. I recently sold it to a fellow in Washington State. It's a great little bow that will surprise you performance wise.
