Another Bow (Now with pic)
#1
I was going through my grandpas gun house this weekend and came across this recurve. He said he has had it nearly 40 years and has only hunted with it a handful of times. I have no idea how good of a bow it is or how it shoots. It is in good condition and the limbs look straight.
Maybe you all can tell me a little more about it: It is a Coronado by Howatt Archery, HOA 3601.60", 49 lbs @ 28".
Like I said before, it is good shape, has been shot very little, andhas been stored indoors. It may not be worth much, but I think I am going to get another string from Chad and try it out. It is a little heavier bow than the Bear I have been shooting.

Sorry guys...I guess I didn't know the rules [&:].. here are the pics:
Oh...and yes, he will let me hunt with it, it wouldn't ever cross his mind to not let me hunt with it. My grandpa and I are very close and good friends.

Great find--it should be a shooter! As best I can tell, it's a 60" AMO. Not sure about Howatt, but a lot of the older bows "bucked" AMO rules on string length--the AMO string length is 57" for a 60" bow, but many of the older ones went 4" shorter. Dacron only for the string, 56.5" flemish (to give you more adjustment), 12-14 strands, should work fine.
