Default Building up handle.

What material do you guys use to build up part of the handle. I've been shooting slightly to the right now for a few weeks now andthink I have the problem finally pegged down to the grip. The grip onmy longbow is gooved out a bit too much on the upperright hand side. When I'm shooting, there is a decent sized area that my hand isn't even resting on. I'm thinking that after I release, the bow is able to kick to the right because if it. I put a few pieces of mole skin in the area which is working fine, and took care of the problem, but I was wondering if there is anything else out there that may be better. Thanks.

I think there's a few products for that kind of problem in 3 Rivers, and Joe at Lone Wolf probably has them too. I put a grip on my first longbow many years ago, and since then I don't put anything on, except the rubber sleeve if it's a td.

Thanks Floxter, that interesting. I may go that route. I've been shooting well though with just the moleskin, so I may just leave it even though it is a bit of an eyesore. If I added the putty, I'd just need a tiny bit, not really much of a re-construction project.

Of course, I'm expecting my new Check Mate to fit me perfectly, so I won't have to worry about such stuff. [8D][8D][8D]- Right Chad -

I use Cabosill mixed with polyester resin until you acquire a paste and then go slow building it bit by bit, if you use the right amount of catalyst it will dry within 15 minutes, so you can do a build up in a couple of hours.

I don't build up the grips on bows... I break out the sander. I can make it whatever I want it to be, within the realm of riser strength. You can make it "perfect" this way. This sanding stuff isbecoming a habit, if I'm not sanding on the grip I sanding on the limbs.[&:]
