Default Had some great 3-D action this weekend

We had a great day of 3-D action at Pin Oak Archery Club in Greenville, MSon Sunday.... It was a beautiful day and an awesome range.... The targets were great!!! I've never seen so much diversity.. Lets see here, I shot a:

Some type of african antelope
HUGE whitetail targets
Mule Deer
Bobcat
Beaver
Coon
Aligator
Big Horn Sheep
Mountain Goat
Bison
Wolf
Bear
Pig
Coyote
Mountain Lion

And probably some I can't think of!! Met some great guys and had a blast...

Ranges from 10-35yds... Average probably around 18-20..... The funny thing is I shot the worst on the "gimme" 12yd shots....... Completely missed a coyote from 12yds!!! I was sick!!

Also went to a great shoot in Yazoo City, MS on Saturday and had a blast as well....

But after 2 days of dragging my 4yr old son and my 14yr old nephew through the woods and pulling a 60lb bow, I'm worn out!!

Sounds great DC! I shot some yesterday (Sunday), at an informal "tournament" at a friend's house--it's a regular Sunday thing when hunting season is over. We have a lot of improvised targets there--most are 3-D, but also some flat targets and a few novelties. For instance, one of the deer targets has a ball cap on--hit the hat, you get extra points. We also have a few tennis balls, paint can lids, etc.

I know what you mean about the gimmee shots--one of my nemesis! Like yesterday--shot under a walking bear target (shoud have been able to nail it with my eyes closed), but hit the ball cap, one small lid, and a tennis ball--go figure! I've done it at tournaments too--last year at the JPM at Enid I missed the easiest shot on the course--I think you just take those shots for granted and don't concentrate at all. Still, we had a blast! Hope to see you at the JPM this year!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. That's what it's all about.

We had a shoot Sunday too. We called it a Turkey shoot, because we set up only stuff that'd be legal to shoot in turkey season. Turkeys (of course), a few hogs, a couple of 'exotics'. One bear, because a couple of the members are going out of state on a spring bear hunt.

Found out one interesting piece of data to store away for future reference... I can't get into a DoubleBull blind. [:-]Well, I guess I could've if it hadn't been staked down. I reckon I could just lift it over my head andset it back down once I was in. [8D]

I hate gimmee shots. I miss 'em every time. Bear at 35 yards? No sweat. Gobblin' Turkey at 15? Clean miss. Didn't even scratch the paint. [&o]
