Default RE: Target shooting confusion

I'd have to say that I do way worse at target shooting than in 3-d shooting(trad. or compound). I hate going to the target range because I just suck so bad at it, but at the 3-d range, I shoot pretty good. Shooting at a dot just makes me concentrate too hard. Whenever I'm target shooting, I always tend to overthink my form, where everything is, where my head is and all that other stuff and then I mess up. However, when I just point and fling arrows, I do a whole lot better. It's kind of weird because with both trad. bows and compound bows, I shoot within like 1-2 seconds of pulling back because if I hold any longer, then I'll start thinking too much. My friends all think this is weird since they take at least 5 seconds to aim and everything usually. To each his own, I guess.

I had this problem too, then I started shooting at my first arrow trying to split it, this got myhead back into the game.
