I saw a head at Walmart that looked similar to Stingers, but it was made by Allen, I think. It was very cheaply priced. Perhaps that's the head he's referring to?

Don't know. I've read hundreds of posts on stingers on several different forums, not once was the word "cheap" used...

Anyone have any experience with Stinger broadheads by Magnus? I've been thinking bout trying them. I like the fact that they are cut on contact, but the blades can also be replaced if needed. What do you guys think?
I've used the magnus stinger four blades out of my carbons, and a four fletched arrow, I've had extremely great success.

Magnus stingers (4 blade) here. Very sharp right out of the package. Absolutely no flight issues. You could do a heck of alot worse...IMO.
