I just recently installed a screw on rest to replace the stick-on type that I had been using . Prior to that I changed the stick-ons as needed .

I use cordovan leather for my rest and pad. Install it once and forget about it... Never replace

My seal skin usually last for about six months or so depending on the amount of use it gets.

It depends on what I'm using. Leather will stay on until I just want something different. Never have worn out a leather rest. Rug rests usually last at least a year. Velcro wears out awfully fast. At best, it would only last a few weeks.
