I decided to order a checkmate bow but am lost on what woods to order. I live in a hot humid environment. These are the choices for riser,
Hard Maple, Black walnut, Imbuya, Bubinga, Purple heart, Sheduya
Limb choices-
Hard Maple, Black walnut, Black locust, red elm
Also would like to know about tillering, (split finger or 3 under)
Which string material Dacron, dynaflight'97 or 450+
I also shoot a regular compound at 28" draw . How much will that change?

I know vary little about wood types and how the act in different climats, I just went with what I thought looked good. I shoot split fingure because that is how i have shot bows my hole life (compouns to) and from what I have seen alot of guys shoot that way to. For the most part people lose an inch or two when they switch from a compound to a long bow.
Be sure to post some pics if ya can.

Choose the wood that you like. they will do fine, and the bows have a very nice finish on them.
Nowmy daughters bow has Walnut and Bubinga riser and red elm limbs. If I order one for myself, it will have walnut limbs.
