Default need advice on new tekan 2's

hey everybody this is my first post i have a quick question and would like some feed back.this year after many years using three bladed fixed bladed 100 grain muzzys i have decided to switch to the new tekan 2's our season opened last week and i harvested a doe with the new broadhead ,which actually was a complete pass through with exit leg bone being shattered however when i retrieved my arrow i noticed that the blades were not in a locked postion i know the o ring keeps them from deploying until 3 pounds of pressure is achieved.my question is do the blades only open on contact and pass through the animal in an open manner then once on the other side or a pass through do they become loose in the ferrel again ?any help would be appreciated.

there is no locked position when the blades are deployed. once they have passed through the animal they will flop around.
