Hi guys. I think i have a problem, I bought a right hand pse outlaw for my 7 year old girl about a month ago, she was shooting pretty good, but this weekend i got her a release, put a peep sight on, prong rest and noticed that she could not position her self with out dificultyand kept wanting to reach over to look with her left eye. So i did the simple eye test with her and found out she is left eye dominant but right handed. What do i do? continue having her practice with that bow or should i get her a lefty. Thanks.

They say that with some kids that age, eye dominance naturally changes back and forth several times before it finally stabilizes. If she was shooting good without the release, prong rest and peep, then set her back up the way she was and let her go. Then check for eye dominance again in several months.

My daughter is left eye dominant and right handed and I found it about the same time and in about the same manner.Hers never changed. The strange thing a gun shooting coach told me was that about 50% of girls are this way.[&:]
I got her a left handed bow and the change was very naturall. She is even batting in softball left handed now and is no longer late on the ball like she used to be when batting right.
Do like Arthur suggested and if she stays this way then go ahead and make the switch. It is much easier to do it now than when she gets older and has developed bad habits.
