Moved from bowhunting forum.....help me out here guys......
Guys, I've been wanting to get one of these for several years now for my long range shooting and just to have one
This is the Saunder's Matt. Any experience with these type matts? I know nothing about them, I've never shot one. Any other suggestions or tips. Also, any tips on which target faces to get for them....Thanks

DC,
We used those exact Mats in high school shooting Olympic Recurve........IMO they suck.
They're fine for a couple of sessions and low energy set-ups and or long range shooting where you aren't going to really wear it in one spot, but at 20 yards that nice steel stand behind the mat ate up my 1816 Aluminum shafts like a paper shredder. [:@] (Out of a 35# recurve)
I haven't shot at one in about 17yrs or so, but that was my experience......I can still remember that sickening "Clang" on a passthru.
