drop away rest questions, setup
I put a drop away rest on, the nap 4000. for those of you who have any drop rest, when in your draw stroke does your rest raise ? mine comes full up at about half draw. Is this what is recommended?
Also, i bought a center shot tool, on a mathews mq1 is that an accurate tool or are the limb screws not averaged to center?

I believe you may have the cable too short. I shoot the same rest on my Cybertec, and it comes up to full about the last 5 or 6 inches of draw. I get perfect clearence and it shoots like a dream. Are you getting contact? If your not getting contact, and you are shooting good groups, dont worry about it, you got it right. Tune er up, and go hunting!

schmalts, I adjust my cable by marking the cable guard at the rear of the slide at full draw. Then I pull the slide back by hand so the rest is fully raised at what woulld be full draw. If the cable is too short it will restrict the slide from it's full travel, and bind the cables. This also allows the rest to drop quicker, giving better clearance.
BTW, muzzyman is right, your's is most likely too short.
