Default gold tip xts or pro hunter(5575s)

one has a 003 and the other 001 tolerance.the xts are 8.2 and so are the pro hunters. is the price differece worth the exta money for hunting.i noticed the camo xts come in at 8.0,you would think they would weigh more than the plan xts.i know someone who is willing to sell me a dozen adv timber xts(last years) for 45.00 per dozen or should i buy the pro hunters instead. thanks

I have shot the XTs for the last 4 yrs....don't have any plans of changing in the future. Good arrow. Guessing if you were in to comp. shooting or comp 3D you may see an advantage, but I wouldn't think there would be much difference in the deer woods.

Another thing you need to consider is your arrow length. I shoot a 27" arrow. Cutting equal lengths off both ends of the shaft will help get the straighter part of a shaft. I shoot the XT's and get very straight arrows when using this technique. As was already mentioned, if your in comp and have the extra cash, go with the pro's. I don't shoot for money and get more than ample results out of the XT's. Routine robinhoods and busted shaft ends and nocks is good enough for me.
