Default Could someone explain high/low wrist grip?

I see references made here to high or medium or low wrist grip on a bow. I've been shooting off and on for about 15 years now, and I have got to admit I havent got a clue what this all means. If somebody could explain in some detail what they are, and the differences between them, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

when you lean against say a door jamb with your thumb pointed up, that's low wrist. Now pull the heel of your hand back off the door jamb, to varying degrees. That will be medium or high wrist, depending on the angle. While you're at it remove your hand from the door jamb, but keep the low wrist angle. Now try to flop your hand from side to side. Just something I show my customers about bow grips.

TM,

I've been shooting with a low wrist and like it, but have never tried moving my hand while holding my wrist low. Very nice demonstration that the wrist doesn't readily move in that position. It would seem to me, that this would be important when trying to prevent torque. Glad you pointed this out.

Go here:

and read the article about "Developing the Perfect Grip". I think the author explained it far better than I ever could. Hope this helps. Be safe.
