Yeah, I've got a ground blind hunt booked for early December and need an extra pin for further out there. If I can wrestle this bow to good groups at 30 I may set it for 35.

Aiming at w/ 20 pin at thirty I'd say there is at least 5-6" drop. My slowbow is only spitting them at 265fps. (on my slower than most chrony)

Hmmm... Top of the kill zone at 30yds = dead deer

Try the glove yet?

i tried this experiment today and hated it. my jersey glove didn't slide at all, not at all. just a suggestion, get a slicker glove than a jersey.

Tried the glove and it wasn't my cure. I moved my rest in and out and recorded the best groups at 30 to pinpoint which centershot was working best. Then I shot through paper again, reduced the amount of cord for the pull on my drop zone and reacheived a bullet. Stepped back to 30 and still no dice[:'(]. Crappy group.
I'm close to panic mode.
Tommorow I'm gonna try newer arrows(not just my year round practice ones), different target (I hate circles[:'(] ) and shooting through the paper further back. If none of that works I'm gonna stop by a new proshop on the way home from the lease on Monday and let a PRO look at it. I've had it . Only problem with that is I'm good at 20 and that's as far as their range is.

I know it's something simple, maybe it's me? Maybe I'm asking too much.

I've achieved 1.5" groups at 30 yards while shooting fixed blades with last years rig, I'm having a hard time not even being able to do that with my NEW rig and f/p's.[:'(]

Any chance you're:

1- Dropping your bow arm are at the shot, not following through?
2- Grabbing the bow at the shot?
3- Punching the trigger?

For some reason, from 25 in I seem automatic. Get past 25, and I can suffer from the above unless I pay strict attention to detail. Don't know why, it just happens...

Range, I went to the "pro" shop and he wasn't much help. Asked me if I set it up and said I got it all right (center shot, nock point, drop zone timing).
He fiddled with the center shot a little and then we shot through paper. It was the same - somewhat of a bullet I had been looking at.
I went home with some hope and no-dice at 30.
I've been over tweaking the past 3 days and have come up with 1.5-2" groups at 30 yards using muzzy 100 3 blades. In this configuration my 20 yard shots are left of POA.
Weird thing is if I fling a phantom or a muzzy 100 4 blade they fly terrible, I bet they are in the 4" group range. It's so bad I don't even measure[:'(].
What's so odd about that is the 4 blade muzzies usually fly great for me.

To answer your questions-
1- well maybe, but I doubt it- I'll pay more attention to that tomorrow.
2- no need with the Patriot, it just sits there
3- got my tru-ball back and have been paying attention to steady trigger pressure.

I've got another week to get this right, I'm gonna be real upset if I have to use my trusty Z-light back up for hunting. I shot it at 30 just to check and sure enough- ON.

Thanks for the help, time to start a new thread, I'm desperate[&o].
