Seems that I'm having problems getting my limbsavers to stay put on my cybertec. I have tried to tighten the screws as much as possible but it seems there is no end to the turning of the screw. It seems like the piece that the screw is screwing into is slipping and won't allow me to get a good tight fit on the limb. Where exactly should the limbsavers be on the limb, the thinnest section of the limb??? Am I doing something wrong? Sorry about the overuse of the word screw. I don't think I'm a pervert

Stinky,
Didn't the limbsavers already come installed from the factory on your Cybertec?
Did they move after you started shooting the bow?
If the screw is stripped then I would suggest contacting Sims Vibration Laboratories about it. They are some of the nicest folks. I had a split limbsaver break on one of the Hoyt XT2000 bows and the woman I spoke with at Sims was very knowledgable. She not only sent me a replacement piece but also a whole new set of split limbsavers.....Free Of Charge!!...that is service.
Head over to their website and call/email them. They will fix you up in no time.

They did come installed on the bow from the factory but came loose sometime after I started shooting. I talked to Chris at Sims Lab and he told me to follow the directions they have posted on their website and if that didn't work he would get me a new set. Said that the piece the screw threads into may be broke. I'll give a try tonight when I get home and see how it works.

stinky, with any limbsavers: You will find that you cannot ever really get them tightened down to where you can't turn the screw anymore. It just doesn't happen. This is mainly because of the rubber that is in contact with the limb itself. This is just how they work.
Now, you could have a defective set, but what probably happened is someone tried to tighten them down TOO far, and they are now broken. I have never seen anyone have them slip like yours are. As stated above, Simms will still probably replace them for you.
As far as placement on the limb, we usually put ours at a point on the limb where the limbsaver is approximately 1/2"-5/8" away from the buss cable. Just make sure you don't put them too close where they could come in contact with the cables.

I didn't get a chance to do anything with them last night but i hope everything will work out. If they are busted I'm not too worried about it because it sounds like Sims will take care of me. Bloodtrail1, thanks for the no help there. Still trying to get those antlers bigger I see by posting where ever you can. I, on the other hand like to just lie here in the weeds and watch what the big guys are doing.
