Somewhere around 260 fps has worked for me. That's sighted in at 25 yards. About 1 3/4" high at 20 and 3" low at 30 yards. 15 yards is not as high as 20 as the arrow is still climbing at that distance. My results have shown that 5 yards and 25 yards almost identical POI.

If you can get your arrow speed around 280 FPS with a 400 grain arrow sighted in at 25 yards will put you 2 inches high at 10 yards, also 2 inches high at 20 yards, dead on at 25 yards and 3 inches low at 30 yards.

Not a speed freak myself I like a heavier shaft...even in carbons. I shoot 245/250 fps.
And fully capable at 30 yards and dont question 40 yards with the one pin....granted abit of kentucky windage. Good luck and see what works with some playing.
