I bought a trophy ridge drop away rest recently. and upon dropping it makes a metalliac noise. i have always hunted with wisker biscuits with no problem until i was on an axis deer hunt and that bow blew up leaving me with my backup bow which had the drop away and every single axis buck ducked the string does anyone else have this problem and whats the best way to fix it? moleskin maybe? thanks

I just put the Drop Zone on my xTec and I have not noticed any noise from it. I'll be interested to see what others have to say.

If the rest is making noise I'd call Trophy Ridge. My dz is silent. I've had 0 problems so far. You're the 1st case of noise complaints I've heard. I've have heard TR has great customer service. It's worth a call

When I manually pull the string tight and release it quickly, I can here a very little thump. I don't think it is enough to worry about, though. I am more concerned with any noise while I am drawing back. Have someone stand 10 yards away and listen to you shoot. See if they can hear it.

I have a DZ on my LX.No noise, and I do mean NO noise. When the D-Z's first came out,I had one on my S-C Patriot, and it had a metalliac click to it.I used some Plasti-Dip were the launcher arm dropped and that seemed to take care of it.If you bought your DZ new,I'd take it back or call T-R customer service.Of course, this is assumming that the DZ is installed properly to begin with...Bob

The very slight sound of the launcher falling simply can NOT be heard away from the bow. Have someone shoot your rig and from just a couple feet away you will NOT hear anything. The twang of even a well silenced string is still louder than a DZ in action. This is certainly one of the most popular rests out there and it has a well deserved reputation already of being an exceptional shooter. This rest is awesome!!
