Default D-loop question

I'm new to shooting the d-loop and am one of those guys that hate to give up speed, my question is if I use a D-loop without a nocking point and the loop settles in a position that is touching the nock but does not appear to be pushing the nock off the string is this O.K. to shoot it with just the loop or do most of you tie the a nocking point or use some other method to prevent movement in on the nock.
Thanks again
BD

I prefer a small gap, because if the knots of the loop are too tight it can cause pinch. Really depends on how much up pressure you put on the nock as you draw and anchor, as well as string angle.

I would use the tie-in nock/s if it feels too tight..if you tie them small, speed loss is not noticeable..better 1 or 2 FPS loss than an accuracy loss.
