Default Fletching Jig

I am looking for an inexpensive, but reliable fletching jig to be used primarily to repair fletchings and maybe redo some entire shafts, but not fletch dozens of arrows per year (not yet anyways). I am new to fletching my own arrows so I need something somewhat idiot proof as well. I have looked at the AAE and the Jo Jan, but that is about it. Any help or advice would be great.

Also what are your thoughts on the arrow wraps for hunting? Are they worth the extra weight and expense. I have never used them but am thinking about trying them for a bear hunt this year.

Try the Arizona Fletcher it's pretty easy to use ,and as for arrow wrap's I think they just look nice and that's it ,they won't hurt your performance haedly at all not that you could notice it anyway's.

I really like my jo jan. I had another single jig that was plastic that worked pretty good, i cant remember where i bought it though. I didnt like the arizone cause it seemed sometimes the fletching would slip down. Bitz makes real good jigs, but theyre pricey.

Just bought a Grayling from Cabelas 30 bucks, chose right hand helical as I have a Boehning straight/offset (paid 60 bucks) both are very similar and (I tried this) you can swap clamps between the two with great results. Also I am using "Fast Fletch" adhesive for my fletching. It doesn't run (if you use the right amount) and sets up in seconds. So far in the short time I have been fletching my own arrows I have spent enough to buy quite a few dozen factory fletched arrows. BUT! I am having a ball learning and monitarily I think I'm catching up.

Now onto cedar shafts, cresting and feathers .... wish me luck.
