draw length

I have a easton draw length arrow & AMO bear draw check bow .when checking draw w/arrow it comes up with 27"s & i shoot a 28"arrow, checking w/bow it says 28.5"s i checked with tape arrow matches tape
is there two ways of checking draw?

AMO drawlength is measured from the apex of the bowstring to the throat of your grip (the deepest part)at full draw and then add 1.75". The length of your arrow doesn't matter too much, this is because of the placement of your rest and the setup of the bow. For example, I shoot a 29" draw, but a 28.5" arrow and could cut off about a half inch more if I wished. The Easton drawlength arrow is a good tool, but is generally used with fingers. It will get you somewhat close, but I think the wingspan method is better. The distance between your fingertips at shoulder height, minus 15" divided by two. This method will get you close, but there are some variances for your individual body shape.

it baffled me, i set up my bow at 28.5" draw by mfg. specs w/o overdraw & arrow length was shorter then draw, figureing arrow lgth should be 30.5. useing wing span i come up with 28"

if my wingspan was also 75"...i can assure you my draw length would be more than 30"
