I was wondering if it matters how your 2-blade broad heads line up with relation to your fletching. Like if one broadhead sits horizontal and full draw and another sits vertical or at a 45 degree. Does this affect arrow flight? I could see how it might, but at the same time if your arrow is spinning, the head will be at all angles throughout it's path. just wondering. Thanks everyone.

I've never noticed any flight differences or accuracy problems related to having the blades angled off differently, from one arrow to the next. I like to have them all lined up the same way, just to have everything same/same, but it's not an absolute requirement.

arthur, how do you do that, to you put a broadhead in, then fletch them so that they all line up?

One of the great many benefits of using aluminum arrows... I screw in my broadheads then heat the hotmelt I used to install my inserts. That lets me align the broadheads the way I want them.

Before I started using my trophy taker I had to align them vertical, and also aligning my 3 blades up with my fletch improved accuracy...I dunno but it coulda just been in my head!!!!

I shoot two blade broadheads and they fly great for me without lining them up. If you want to get fussy and you already have arrows you can line you broadheads to you fletches by using a little teflon tape on the threads of your broadhead (How much tape? trial and error). This is also nice because your broadheads will never rattle loose.

If you want the broadheads lined up on carbon arrows, through the broadheads on the bare shafts and line the nocks up to the broadhead then fletch them. I always put mine flat, for two reasons. One its less likely to cut my finger if the blades are out instead of up and down. Second arrows bend in and out upon my release and right at the bow the broadhead is not slowing this motion down.

yeah I shoot 2 blades and have never had any trouble with alignment as long as they are in line with the shaft.

What ewolf said, especially if you shoot with fingers. Since the arrow flexes sideways on release, a horizontal BH won't catch as much air as the arrow leaves the bow.
