Default Cable guard question

I went the shop today to shoot. I was wondering why my flight was kinda eratic when I noticed that my vanes where hitting my cables. Evidentally, when I put my strings and cables on, I didnt twist the cable guard far enough over.

My question is, how far can you twist them? The manufacturer doesnt recommend any farther then the 2 o'clock position I think. Can I go over that without hurting anything?

You probably won't HURT anything technically, but the best thing to do is adjust it to where it pulls your cable over only enough to keep it out of the arrows path.

Muzzyman:
Are you shooting a mathews bow? This seems to be a problem with the mathews. I have two friends I shoot 3-D And Dart with, and they both have this problem.

No, I'm shooting a Reflex bow. I switched the cables around a little and now, have this problem. Before, the cables were against one another, and I didnt see this problem. I swapped them, and now there doesnt seem to be enough clearence.
