Has anyone out there tried these on there bows using a HHA Mount or another type mount and what do you think of it? I'm trying to stay away from using a peep and it seems the bushnell Holographic sight isn't a popular choice. So are red dot scopes a better choice (minus the battery argument).

I have no experience with Red Dot Scopes, but I do have experience with BSA optics.
To be blunt...they are not very good in comparison with even Bushnell, Tasco or Simmons. I had one of the rifle scopes, a set of their binoculars and I currently have one of their spotting scopes.
The first two items were very poor in optical quality and overall craftsmanship while the latter (which I currently have right next to me..zeroed in on some goldfinches) was at least acceptable in clarity and quality.
Maybe someone else can give you more info.

I have installed one on a carbon 4runner extreme & shoot it. it works good, arrow hits where the dot is, torgued or not
[playing around] I agree with 3dmo adds alot of weight to front of bow, especially this bow only 31"a/a 2.6#s thou the owner likes it & shoots good with it
