Why does Hoyt use the yoke cable? Is it a better method?

the floating yolk? If so, the idea is that the cable can self-adjust on the yolk to offset the side pressure from the cable slide.

Is it better? Beats me. One nice thing is its easier to make a cable for it, splitting a harness is a pain to serve (ya, I'm lazy sometimes )

I don't know for sure, but I suppose the yoke helps equalize the pull on both sides of the limb and keeps limb twist to a minimum.

I dunno Art,I was kinda thinking just the opposite. On my bow, cybertec, the limb half on the cable guard side seems to get pulled much harder than on the otherside which makes the cam lean some.

Just think what it would do if it was a conventional cable, connected right beside the cam! The main thing I don't like about bows less than 38" is the acute angle the cable has to make around the cable guard and the uneven load it puts on the limbs.
