What speed am I getting?
#1
After trying to find the efficiency and SE/PDF ratio for my and coming up empty handed I guess I'll just ask somewhere on here. Can anyone give me a ball park figure on what FPS I'm shooting.
02 Magnatec with ZR200 Limbs
Versa cam
29.5 in. draw
about 429 gr. arrow with BH
All I have on the strings are a couple leeches and a realease loop, no peep sight.
Thanks for the help!

On your other thread.....98Redline said the IBO for your bow was 283 fps !
So based on your spec's listed :
If your shooting 70 lbs ...you should be getting in the mid-high 240's ! If your shooting less than 70 or more add/reduce by 2 fps per pound ! That should get you close !

Titleist, if you know what the bow IBOs at, and what your draw weight is, I can get you pretty close.
On Edit: I agree with what CBM said. Based on an IBO speed of 283 and 70# draw weight with only leeches and a string loop, you should be around 246 fps.

Based on an IBO of 283 I get 253@70 lbs. That's using the calculator @ Bowjackson and using 1.25 for the ratio and plugging the efficiency till I get the IBO spec of 283, then plugging in your #s. I have found that calculator to be very close, within a few ft/sec.

I am gonna guess that you are in the 240-245 f.p.s. range! My 02 Hoyt MT Sport with ZR200 limbs, 30" draw, 70#, 420 grain arrow, peep and string leechs on string, I was getting 244 f.p.s.

It doesn't matter whether you use 1.25 or 1.15. Most bows are in that range. Depending on which you use you'll come up with a different number for efficiency but it doesn't matter as the final estimate will be the same, you'll still get 253.

I didn't figure for string add on, I just use .1, so that it'll do the calculations. I think folks report the leaches take 2-3 ft/sec., the loop won't do much if anything.
