Default Ratchet Lock Bow Press

Any one tried the new Ratchet Lock Portable Bow Press? It seems like a really good quality press. The only question I have about it is when you go to let the bow down (release tension on the ratchet) does the bow just immediately slam back down to it's original position? If so I don't think that would be good. Any input would be appreciated. Check out the link if you have not seen one www.ram-products.com Any input would be appreciated.

That is what I would think. I haven't come across any ratchet straps that I can let back slowly. But I have been known to be wrong in the past.

I would think about making one like that if I could get a strap that would let down slowly.

I have seen that press before.

While the conception is ok the only problem I can see with it you will need to hold the bow while pressing it.

On the other hand the press that Walks With a Gimp makes is also a stand.

IBM.

WWAG's press is a ratchet but you can let it down slowly as it is ratchet up ratchet down.

All ratchet straps can be let down slowly, one or two clicks at a time. It's simple and you need to use both hands but is very easy if you think about it!!! Do you ever let your bow down from full draw??? Or do you just let her go??????[&:]

I know I asked you about this before wwag.....but all of the ratchets I have seen won't let loose of the spool until you fold the ratchet out horizontal. Unless I am just totally missing something? Wouldn't be the first time either!!

Illinios Bowman... That is the experience I have had with ratchet straps as well.. I talked with the owner of the company today and he assured me that you could let the ratchet down a click at a time as described above.... He sold me... I ordered one. He was flying out to the show in Indy this afternoon. If what he tells me is correct I think this product will be huge. He said Cabelas will be picking the product up soon....

Holding the bow while using it will be easy with the RS Bow Vise... Check it out. It is AWESOME.... www.rsbowvise.com
