If anyone could give me some help making a paper tuning frame, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to keep it simple, and use materials from around the house. I know I could use 2x4's or PVC pipe, but the 2x4's are too bulky, and I don't have any PVC pipe. Am I being too picky? Anybody got an idea?
Also, where can I buy that paper on the big roll?

I made mine out of 2 wood paint stirrers and 2 pieces of dowel
it will hold an a4 sheet of paper
to hold the paper in place i use 4 clothes pegs
Also drilled a hole in the bottom paint stirrer so I can mount it on my camera tripod
cost was about 2 dollars not including the the tripod

myself i start at 1 1/2 yds. this way you can see what your arrow is doing right out of the gate. make your adjustments to get bullet holes and i back up to 10 feet. this will check any problems with the arrow wt. or spine. but usualy if you get bullet holes at 1 1/2 yds the arrow will fly great at all distances.im by no means an EXPERT this is what works for me. experiment with different stuff it will help you understand how an arrow flys or doesent fly.

I used PVC to make my paper tuning frame and it works great. When I start tuning I prefer to start at 6 feet and tune for a bullet hole.Once a single tear is perfect I then start backing up until I may end up shooting at 30 yards or farther.

I built one out of 2x4's but it was kind of bulky, and needed some kindling for the fire one night so its gone now! But I am thinking of the PVC pipe one now. But the cardboard box method would work and like akbowhunt said when done throw it out!

Most of the ones I see in pro shops are made of PVC pipe. It's not the expensive to make. But I made mine out of scrap 2x4's. I hang my target bag on it. For paper tuning I use a piece of cardboard with a square hole cut out of the middle. Then I staple a piece of 8.5x11" paper to it.
