Field Test Hind sight
#1
about 3 weeks ago I got the hind sight
this is MHO but others may think different
It took all of 30 seconds to install on the bow that was the easy part
At first I left the peep sight on the string
thats where my problems started the peep kept getting in the way to sight the hind sight in
After taking the peep off the string sighting in was a lot easier.
Altho it did take a little longer than what they said on their web site.
I have been firing 50 arrows a day now with the new sight and I love it
My groups are a lot smaller than they where with the peep and I have had a "robin hood" using it
So now I just put up 5 playing cards and one shot at each card usually in the middle and that is from distances from 20 yrd through to 40 yds
The area of the hind sight that your sight pin centers could be smaller (this is the only fault I have found so far)
It also took a bit of time to get used to just putting the 20yrd pin in the center of the sight and just raising the bow for distances other than 20 yrds
I should also mention that I have a trophy ridge 5 pin front sight
IMO this set up is just great and the 2 sights work well together
I have tested it from the standing, kneeling, sitting and from a tree stand all with the same result.
Another plus is I have gained a couple of fps arrow speed due to no peep sight. My speeds went from 258fps to 260fps not that big a deal
The hind sight pins also have a phrosphus coating so it does glow in the dark and not all that bright but is easy visible.
I think any one who has trouble with a peep sight or like me have a seeing problem through a peep should take a closer look at the hind sight
Like I said earlier these are just my opinions
Thanks for reading guys and gals

That looks pretty interesting...I also seen one(sorry can't remember the name) that looked like a bridge on a rifle. It looked really cool, I don't think it would take away as much visibility as the hindsight.

I know the one you mean but like you I cant think of the name.
I looked at that one before i got the hind sight
I think the other one did take away a lot more than the hind sight
I went for the hind sight for the reason I can see all my pins with it

thats not the other one I looked at
but for me and this is only me
I like to see all the pins not just the one
I have the flatliner front sight and I would not be able to see all the pins.
but for those who like to see only one pin this one would be better than the hind sight because of the smaller V as to the hind sights larger O
