Arrow help
#1
I just bought a bowtech assassin, which is my first bow. I've had it for about a week and I am really trying to concentrate on form and the way I touch the trigger off.
My question is that I notice that consistently the tail end of my arrow are cocked to the left when they're in the target. Now my bow has not been paper tuned but everything was adjusted correctly at the shop I bought it at.
I was wondering does it just need to be paper tuned or does it have something to do with the rest. I am using the rest that came with the assassin.
Thanks for the help

Sometimes arrows will be cocked one way or the other from the type of target and what its made of. Since yours are all sticking the same way, I would definitely recommend tuning the bow. A good archery tech will get it close when doing accessory adjustments but still need to tune to make sure arrows are spined properly for the setup. On a new bow you need to shoot it 100 times or so to make sure the string gets set in and any creep will be out of it. Then do the paper tune on it to finalize the settings.

Just got back from the range. I think it is my target that is making the tail end cocked to the left. They were pretty straight tonight. But it seems like the sight just may be a little left because all of my arrows are about 3" from the bullseye I'm aiming for.
My next question then is how do I know when it's a sight adjustment or just me slightly moving the bow left, because sometimes I get a bullseye and i aim for the same place each time. Is it something that is like pistol shooting where they will show a diagram of why the bullets are going where on the target. Like high left is jerking the trigger low left is a grip issue, something like that.

BT - if you follow these instructions step by step and provided you have the properly spined arrows for your set up, you will be shooting a good arrow soon enough. I would also advise you to read the first 2 threads on this forum.
