Default Contact on my MZE

There are signs of fletching contact on my Muzzy Zero Effect. Is this normal or is the rest not properly set up? Groups are not what they should be at 20 yards (2 1/2 - 3" ) and even worse at 25 (3 - 5 " ). Also, I did not shorten the length of my arrows after going to the MZE, could this be part of the problem?

I had mine about two years now. When the shop installed the rest on my bow, it had fletching contact. This was the first time they install the MZE. I didn' t bother them. I just talked to Muzzy rep, and they sent me a new turnbuckle FREE. I install it myself. Now I don' t have any contact at all. It shoots great!

Sounds like an install problem. If the turnbuckle is cut too short, the arrow rest will be too high. The " claw" should be just below the riser shelf,at lease thats where I always set mine.If the MZE is set-up right, and your bow is tuned, there is no way you will get any contact.By the way,I had an 03 SC Patriot that did' nt have enough cable slide movement to operate the MZE.You can call Kevin at Muzzy and talk to him before you go back to you archery shop and bust their chops......1-800-222-7769.Good luck,Bob

Make sure the shop gives you the video that comes with the ZE sometimes when they install the rest the just toss the video aside. I went through some problems when mine was installed and after watching the video I found out that it was not adjusted right.
Fixed it myself and everything is fine now.
