Pinwheel, I' ll check cam rotation, but I had just done it a few days before, and it was dead on. If it slipped that much from one shot to the other, something bad must be going on...
I haven' t had a chance to play with it since originally posting this, hopefully will today. I' ll keep you guys posted.

Rangeball, check the string over real well. I would strongly suspect is is coming loose on you with the combination of the impact with the DQ and the trunock. As has already been said, check cam rotation and A to A length. I think i sent you the diagram for correct cam rotation for the Hornet at one time didn' t I. Email me if I can be of any help. I haven' t been on the forum much for a while.

Tommy, you did send me the diagram, and I am forever gratefull
The verdict is in. It was the Saunders Deadly Quiet.
I thoroughly inspected my bow, no cracks, loose parts or screws, cable and string all in their proper tracks, cam rotation dead on where it was set last fall. I did notice a small amount of fraying on the string where it impacts the DQ, which furthered my suspicions.
Confident the bow was ok, I shot a few more times, all still low, though not as low as before. So started messing with the DQ.
The DQ (as seen here, I have the PRO- http://www.sausa.com/pp7.html ) has a carbon plunger that inserts into an aluminum tube and is surrounded by a section of foam " hose" Upon the shot, the plunger, well, plunges, and the foam helps absorb the impact, and acts as kind of a spring to un-plunge the plunger. That is, until it wears some, which apparently doesn' t require many shots.
I found that the plunger didn' t fully plunge every time, and something about the DQ was causing it to hange up. I surmise that the first shot when things went wrong, it didn' t plunge at all, causing the string to stop short, leech to slide up and fps to be lost, resulting in the low impacts. I can replicate this with my finger applying pressure, sometimes it just doesn' t fully plunge or plunge at all. Don' t know or care why, I have no confidence in it. Took it off, first shot was right back where things were before this all started.
Long story short, it' s off and things are back to normal. Thanks for everyone' s input...

Thank goodness RB glad to hear all is OK. I was getting a little worried. I am no fan of having my string or cable slap against anything on the shot such as the DQ and other noise suppressors and some of the dropaway rests. You shouldn' t need all that on the Hornet anyway.

I thought that DQ was just a solid rubber string stop like have been around for years. Didn' t realize it was a plunger kind of thingie. Glad you got it figured out.
Now, when are you going to put some MORE moving parts on your bow?[>:]

Well just GREAT!!![X(]
I' m still on backorder for my deadly quiet, so maybe I can get a refund instead. The jackhole I ordered from charged my account before realizing he didn' t have it in stock, and now won' t answer my e-mails concerning the issue[:@]!! The last response I got was" I' ll send you one as soon as I get it"
What repercussions do I have if he flat ignores me?
I payed through Paypal to a Credit card and have already payed the card for the amount. ERGGG!![:@]
