I notice that the turnbuckle arm on my MZE was cockeyed. and groups were poor. My cable guard had come out. I tried to tighten the screw on the risor with no luck. Just didn' t seem like it would go very tight without stripping something or crushing the rod. Shot a few more times and out comes the rod again. I thought I' d better see what the screw was doing to the rod so I backed it all the way out. Pulled the rod out and it didn' t have a mark on it. Looked inside the hole and could see there was still a set screw in there. Put the rod back in, tightened that inner set screw, problem solved.
I can see why every one takes off those start silencers now. Both of mine are gone after a couple hundred shots.

I haven' t had any problems with the 3 new ones I own but I don' t have the ZE rest. I' ll check mine to make sure they are tight. I was shooting my Pat Dually last night at 30 yards to get ready for our jamboree and a bee flew between my eye and the string while I was aiming at full draw. Just about to squeeze the triger and the bee startled me, jerked my head back and away from the string and I guess I was on the trigger because it went off[
] I heard the arrow hit the target so I thought that I at lease wouldn' t have to search for my arrow! Went up to the target and there it was in the bullseye[
