im gonna get into bow hunting again next year..now my question is this? i have a 24 inch draw length..i shoot 45 lbs because of my back and shoulder..im thinking of going with arrows that weigh 7.3 grains and topping them with a 75 grain muzzy? what do you guys think of this set-up..oh yeah i will not be taking shots over 35 yards..big buck killer 29

With the specs you mention you should be able to hunt, but I would advise you to limit shots to 25 yards. Pick a narrow cut broadhead, no more than 3 blades (no mechanicals) andhave your bow/arrows tuned for as good as you can for the best arrow flight. Notonly limit your shots to 25 yards, but be very picky about the angle of your shots---nearly broadside or quartering away and stay away from those shoulder bones.
I hunt with similar equipment, but with a longer draw at 26.5" so I know some of those limitations.

You will have No problems killing deer with 40# just take high percentage shots well within your effective range.
IMO I would use a 100 grain head to improve FOC. I am not a fan of the lighter broadheads. If you want to cut overall arrow weight use a lighter, properly spined arrow and put some weight on the business end to keep the FOC at a minimum of 12% for broadheads.
Preferably more!
