You should shoot what you want/like to shoot..seriously.

That said-

I could go on a diatribe about the hundreds of goldtips I've owned and/or spine tested, but IMO, the only thing Goldtip (and Victory) arrows have going for them is that they are Cheap (comparitively) and tough.

Easton shafts are a much better investment IMO- You may get more longevity out of Goldtips, and some of the cheaper Easton/Beman shafts can get pretty wobbly on the ends, but you get much tighter spine tolerances on average and tighter spine= tighter groups. Straight arrows are worthless if they spine all over the place.

Bottom line-I'd rather buy a new doz. arrows ever year with good spine toelrance, than a dozen arrows with poor spine tolerance that last me 3. YMMV.

I'd reccomend South Shore Archery whatever shaft you decide to buy - Jerry spine indexes/marks each shaft at the high spine side (using a RAM spine tester), gives you free wraps (several lengths and colors of your choosing) , gives you choice of nock color, and squares the ends of all shafts for extremely competitive prices. Of course he can go whole hog and build you whatever you want, I just buy raw shafts and build them myself.
I've ordered a few times from him now, and I doubt I'll buy arrows anywhere else again. I don't get any perks, just saying that you cannot beat the deal and services he provides.
