Default Speed Question

I don' t know what possesed me today, but I shot a few arrows through a chrono. and was wondering if what it said was correct.
I am shooting a Mathews SQ2, 27.5" draw lenght, 60# pull, 380 grain arrow, fall away rest, string loop and tied in nock, peep, and cat wiskers on the string. The chronograph said 238fps.....does this sound right to you?? Was hoping for a bit higher fps to up my Kinetic Energy. Right now if this info is correct I am getting 47.81 ft. pounds of Kinetic Energy. Was hoping for a bit more.
Any thoughts??
Thanks

That is not even AMO speed for the bow ! there is either something wrong with the Chrono or the bow.

At that draw length and weight with the string accesories, 238 is definitely possible.

With such a light arrow that speed is kinda low. Although 47# KE is low, it is at least above the recommended bare minimum of 45#.

Replacing whiskers with string leeches, removing the shooting loop (therefore increasing draw length which in turn increases weight), and/or possibly trying something like a no peep in place of the regular peep should get you up to 250 or so.

I used to shoot a Hoyt, 27.5 inches, 60 lbs, no loop, 400 grains around 235 fps. You probably should be a little better than 238 but not much.

Well....

If it is any consolation I just ran your bow through ' The Archery Program' and it shows 237 f/s. The program usually predicts within +- 1-2 f/s with accurate input.

You have to remember that the short draw and the 6+ grains/inch takes speed away quick.
