Default Bow speed question?

Okay two questions for the gurus.

1. What weight arrows are used to establish the IBO speed of a bow?

2. How would you determine approximently how many FPS are lost per gram of arrow weight above the IBO weight?

I don' t want to drive 30 miles to get my bow chronoed, I am lazy!

5 gr. per pound, 70 lb at 30"
Single cams 1 fps loss per 3 grains added.
duals 1 fps. loss per 2 grains added.

brass nock 2-4
peep 3-6
string silencers up to 6
peep tubes 6-10
loop without nock 1-3

All these numbers are assuming you own a Bowtech.[] But they should still give ya a guesstamit.

Hey Taz.. I am from the big " Fred" myself... you dont have to go 30 miles to get your boy on the graph.. I am assuming you are talking about going to Manassas!

There is a guy in south Stafford who has one I am pretty sure....I know he sells bows and does custom cresting and tunning and all that stuff so I am pretty sure he said he had a chrono...

Altough I am a fan of the shop in Manassas so I make the drive when I need something!!

Let me know if you would like his name and or number..
