RE: Silencing a speed bow.
Who has one that's right? Take a measurement of the didstance between the limbs and post it. Take a good measurement. Blackstick you take one of yours. It could just be the wrong axels. Measurements don't lie. Which is something said time and time again, measure things and right them down for future refrence.

RE: Silencing a speed bow.
I don't understand what you want me to measure. The ATA? Be a little more specific.

RE: Silencing a speed bow.
I'll measure mine at home and one in the shop. Then compare.

Spacers are just washers.
I am not sure how that bow is supposed to be setup as far as the spacing but assure you that something is way wrong. It could be as Nodog points out,the wrong axles but you really need to address this immediately. |

RE: Silencing a speed bow.
Never mind. I see one on the inside. I was having a hard time picturing it, but I understand now. There is one spacer on the left side of the cams on both the top top and bottom. There is no spacer on the right side of either one. Before I go telling my pro shop that they might have forgotten spacers on the right side, are we sure that there should be a spacer on the right side of the cams?

Now if I remember correctly... you are LEFT HANDED correct? On a RIGHT HANDED 82nd.... there is a single spacer on the RIGHT (roller guard/cable side) of the cams.... its about the size and thickness of a penny... and its black.... one on top one on bottom.... only on right side. I am assuming (duh) that on a left handed bow, the spacer would be on the LEFT side.... still the cable and roller guard side though. One on top... one on bottom. I guess it was pointed out that you may have the wrong size axel.... that would be something to take up with your pro shop if they replaced axels for you after you rolled your jeep. |

Is there a way to tell if the axles are the wrong size? Yes they replaced them, but with the ones that BT sent with the limbs, so if they are the wrong size, then BT screwed up. I doubt that happened. I think that they may have forgotten to put on the E clip and after putting a lot of shots through it, the axle moved out of place. It could be bent now, but I don't know for sure because I don't have a press. Is it possible that all of this was caused because they forgot to put the E clip on? |
RE: Silencing a speed bow.
Im fixing to look at my 101st and see what i can see BS. Ill try and measure everything and post up something a little more specific so maybe you can see if there is any damage.
btw, i know for a fact on the GENERAL that if those washers didnt go in EXACTLY like they were taken out, it was wrong. I will look at mine and see what i can find out for you. The 82nd and 101st cant be that different. They are built off of the same principal. Derek |
RE: Silencing a speed bow.
